NO SUCH THING AS TRASH

Material studies through an anti-colonial lens

No Such Thing As Trash is a remote course created as a vehicle for the same values taught in-person before the pandemic.

As part of all of my courses, I forged a relationship with a local scrapyard to give students an opportunity to source recycled materials for free. Out of this practice I created a re-use library for my students, only to have it co-opted by a white, male, tenured VCU professor who continues to take credit for my work.
