Alex is an artist, educator, photographer, and welder based in Borikén—the US colony known as Puerto Rico. In 2021, Alex moved with their spouse to start a farm in the mountains of rural Utuado; prior to this move, their spouse lived much of his life in the diaspora and wanted to be part of the generation to return. Before farming, Alex worked as an adjunct professor teaching welding, video, and material studies through an anti-colonial lens.
